Epithets for Preva! Kiki's Reply to Lionne
Linda says...
Kiki, I found your response fascinating, and although it was not address to me, I just felt I needed to provide you with some feedback.
Now, let me see if I get this straight; You said to La Lionne, that people who criticize and are impatient with the impotent, corrupt, illiterate, and spineless Haitian government, do not represent modern Haitians.
Well now, I think La Lionne should THANK YOU. I THINK SHE SHOULD BE HONORED AND PROUD NOT TO BE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO YOU ARE CALLING "MODERN HAITIANS." No Haitian person who really understand the meaning of that title would want to be what you call "moder Haitians." In the past, I described many times the difference between the true Haitian, who knows their history, have pride, would never have been caught dead crying and begging for scrap at the UN, and always fought for Haitian dignity and self reliance; versus those new "modern Haitians" like you called them, who have no self respect, don't really understand their own history, were never taught by their parents that dirty laundry is best washed at home; most of these "modern Haitians" can't even use one language properly, have never really studied anything at an intellectual level, have no concept of manners and etiquettes, or ethics.
SO I THINK LA LIONNE SHOULD TAKE YOUR INSULT AS A COMPLEMENT AND SAY THANK YOU.
Furthermore, you said that in civilized countries people don't criticize or disrespect their government.
Well, let's see now: Which civilized countries were you referring to?
It couldn't be the US, because in the past year, Bush just got call every derogatory title in the book. Of course no one used nasty dirty language to describe him, but most of the words used by La Lionne were language appropriate.
Finally, only a person with no political knowledge at all says that in civilized countries the leaders are not criticized.
THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE. THE MORE MODERN THE COUNTRY, THE MORE THE PEOPLE ARE FREE TO CRITICIZE THEIR LEADERS.
You should probably read a little bit more international news before you make incorrect statements like these.
The topic is: hi president kaka
