Kapwa, I understand your frustration; however, there are some things you need to consider.
Asking for what we are due is fine, but when to ask for it is what must be considered.
If we had asked for what is owed us before Haiti fell into this mess, we might have had a better chance of getting what we asked for, and that money could have gone towards helping the country.
We might be able to ask for that money when Haiti is again a functioning nation, and then we might get our money.
However, I can guarantee you that if we ask for that money now we are not going to get it, and the world is going to laugh at us once more. The reason is that no ones listens to beggars, and right now Preval has reduced our country to a beggar nation.
The first thing that will come into everyone's mind is that we can't get our act together and we are trying to make the white people pay for our failures.
Strong negotiations, which is what gets people what they want, only occurs when all parties are coming from a position of strength.
If these ignorant Preval people push for this now, we will be the laughing stock of the world.
But then again, it doesn't supprise me that they can't figure that out for themselves.
It takes at least a basic knowledge of governance and high power negotiations to know this, and we all know that these guys don't have a clue.
