Hey, Mario,

Your opening statement attacks my reply for accusing Preval's inaction to Bruce's statement, and yet, as I read message through you ended up blaming the government too. An effective government that cares about its citizens would rebucked Bruce's statement promptly the second after.

There are many Haitians making all kind of plans for Haiti as if they can implement those plans on their own as civilians like we do in US.

Many of us left Haiti so long ago that we become very unintouch and disconnected with the way things run and operate in Haiti, and that has shown clearly our own naivity.

We tend to forget that things are done very differently in Haiti.

We have to stop making the mistake approaching Haiti with an American frame of mind, by an american view point.

It doesn't work that way in Haiti.

With all humility, let me repeat it once again, nothing big can be done in Haiti that will bring big meaningful changes in the country without the blessing and the approval of the government.

Got it?

Stop calling on the public to stop drug trafficking in Haiti, it is the job of the government.

Stop calling on the public to stop gun usage in Haiti, this is the job of the government to do.

You guys living in US or in other parts of the world must realize about something very important and that is, Haitians do not use drugs therefore they can care less about drug trafficking.

The drug monies do not benefit the public at large.

It is a handfull gangs in collaboration with the police and some government officals who are in the drug trafficking in Haiti.

It is the same about the kidnapping industry.

Only a handfull of scums with the collaboration with the police, some from the elite and some government officials who are running the kidnapping industry in Haiti and that is why these problems keep going one in Haiti.

Remember that the general public was getting tired of these problems and decided to take matters into their own hands.

The public hunted down these bastards and chopped them off with manchetes or BBQ them crispy with "Pere Lebrun".

Remarkably enough, the kidnapping had gone down to almost non-existence for the 2 or 3 weeks.

Well many of you cried woolf and it stopped because we were too afraid that the masters (the international community) would be too angry with us.

We are to be realistic about plans put forth to bring change in Haiti.

We must realize that there is a big elephant in the room to keeps things in check and to make sure that things stay the same forever, and that that elephant is the government.

To their credit, the Haitian people have been fighting for freedom to have a better life through revolutions and revolutions.

The Haitian people have gotten rid of every bad government but always ended up with another bad one.

We cannot keep blaming the people for not trying nor or for not doing enough.

The governments, past and presents are to be blamed for all Haiti's failures and misfortunes.

If you would ask me, I think the next revolution should be about the irradication of the slavery mentality that is embeded in us, Haitians.

As long as we are still living with this slavery mentally our country will never go foward.

We have to get rid of the slavery mentality so that government officials, the haitian public, the haitian media, the haitian elite, the haitian intellectuals and the haitian masses can understand that we all must work to the betterment of our country and Not to the satisfaction of the white man who still wants to remain our master.

Though to be successful, the government must take the lead. We could do alot for Haiti and probably get the entire country back in shape in a very short time if we had a government who really had the know-how and wanted what is best for the country by showing leadership.

However, I do realize that the government alone cannot solve all the problems, but the people cannot do anything withouth the leadership of the government either.

The government must communicate a well detailed blue point goals to the people in order to get the people involved, and right now the government doesn't have one.

If you would ask anyone in the government to tell you exactly what are the goals Preval has for Haiti, I bet they won't be able to tell you because there aren't any.A government is the supreme leader of a country.

Preval does not communicate with the Haitian people and has not shown real leadership.

Those who know him claim that he (Preval) is a shy and very reserved man who doesn't talk alot. Well, sorry, but a government who doesn't communicate with the people it is governing is doomed to failure.

I rest my case!
