There is a few ways to take over a country: militarily, financially, and culturally.

The the great powers use different strategies to get to that point: the most repulsive strategy to me is the way they brought the country to its knees putting the burden of its demise on our shoulders:Haiti had been weaken financially since the "removal" of Baby Doc...

They told him to pack and leave; they come pick him early am Feb 7. Destination France.

One of the reason to get rid of him was to stop the flow of <blacks> immigrants who claimed being persecuted, repressed and the brutality of the regime.

Therefore to stop the flow of "boat people" their best choice of action was remove Baby Doc Who despite all his flaws remains one of the presidents who did a lot for Haiti! They replace this "Dictatorship" By Democracy which had a hard time to take off due to multiple coups.

Now there is Democracy, Haitians have no more reasons to flee their homeland despite abject poverty! Everything was done to preserve democracy, and the worse was the "Embargo" which choked the country to death, then they dismantled the army, creating chaos resulting in complete destabilization of the country and see the rise of poverty, crime and corruption never seen before!
So They weaken the country militarily, financially;now the door is wide open for them to intervene financially to "rescue" the Haitian people.

With No money, our government bows to the pressure of its financial donors which increase their presence to finally one day take over the country in evoking "humanitarian reason" so they can have free access to the unexploited oil in Haiti.

It is a calculated game, or ploit involving our top leaders, who, like you say, know what to do to save the country, but will not do it: they are under pressure of their "master" who, in order to really, show its presence built a 75 millions dollars, in Tabar, not too far from the Airport.

The location tells a lot their intent! Power in Tabar the capital of Evil, means ..troubles ahead for years to come
