I find it totally incredible that the government cannot find enough people to clean up the streets in such a small place and plant new trees...

Never mind electricity and clean water...

I just came from a funeral in Haiti and I was shocked, absolutely shocked to see the state of salubrity in Haiti as a hole ...The so call river Bois chene that runs in front of the National cemetery where most of the past presidents, Dignitaries and day today Haitians are buried.

That is a COMPLETE disgrace.

What is the role of the mayor of Port au prince?

Mr Preval, I know you cannot do every thing in that country but you can start by putting in place the necessary resources to clean and keep the streets clean and collect the trash.

Increase the pay for the people who are collecting the trash, make sure they get pay on time. M'um pa koue ke se Ayitien ki pi salop pase tout lot pep !
