Haitian is not a race since race usually is determined by the region that you are from. Much like you have Afircan-American but "La race noire" is the race.

They are African first to give originality of where they are descendants of and then American the new region they are born into, thus is an African-American African?

Thus for Haiti Haitians are as I keep on repeating to you, AFRO-LATINOS.

AFRO because theya re descendants of Afirca meaning African, then LATINOS because the region as the fact that it is called Latin-America and French and Creole are derivatives of Latin and are part of the so called Languages of Romance.

Before the word hispanic and latino was invented everybody in the Central American which is the Caribbean or also known as West Indies were called Amerindians.

The name Caribbean was given because the Caribs were a known tribe there along with Tainos and Arawakies and West Indies which as understandably Christopher Columbus thought he was heading toward India and got the Caribbean and saw a striking resemblance in lifestyle and characteristic of the people there and he called them the Indians Of The West. Unfortunately you would not know that since you can not read nor hold the level of comprehension to understand that.

Latin-America is comprised of those Countries which starts with the big Antilles.

Cuba, Haiti (which today both Haitian and Dominican Republic) also known as Hispaniola, Jamaica and Puerto Rico, then the little Antilles St Thomas, Guadeloupe, Martinique and such then you have the all the Southern American Latin Countries such as Mexico, Panama, Columbia and so on. Which states that those countries and their languages derived from Roman Latin and those languages are considered and called the Languages of Romance, not as in Romantic you "Cretin" but as in ROME- ROMANS.

Haitians are not trying to be Latinos so that they can flatter those other Spanish speaking Countries, but rather because it is a simple fact period.

Hispanic now indeed gives it a more predominance in terms of relation to the Language, however not every hispanics speak English and America and not everybody from the Caribbean thus partial Latin-America speak spanish thus they come up with the word LATINO instead so that it does not categorically conform to one specific group.

Once again, this might be too much of a higher level of geography and history for you and unfortunately your pea sized naive brain is made up to believe into your own ignorance as to what you seem to think is your own truth.

If you are hispanic, no one is trying to flatter you simply because you may have in your head some sense of superiority as though Elitist supremacist belief in glorifying being Latino go ahead and be that.
