Duvalier burn in hell: never again in beloved Hait

< Previous | Home | Next >

Hey, folks check this out: These are rare historical documents detailing a little-known 1968 incident in Haiti in which a lone B-25J was purchased in the United States by agents of then-dictator "Papa Doc" Duvalier to bomb the "Socialiste P.E.P." rebels near the Royal Palace.

Enclosed in a black folder labeled "Ambassade d' Haiti, Washington," the documents contain graphic and disturbing details beginning with the purchase of a B-25J (N92882) from the Hamilton Aircraft Group in Tucson, Arizona and subsequent movement to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, with copies of the engine logs, FAA certification, the Aircraft Bill of Sale to Mr. Jay Humphrey and other supporting documents.

It shows the handwritten flight log for its flight to Haiti, with detailed bombing targets indicated on flight maps.
There are many other documents, and after-action 8" x 10" photos of the damage, with many disturbing photos of the wounded and dead bodies.

The last photo shows His Excellency Duvalier and an entourage watching the landing of the B-25.
Some of the documents are in French, but some are in English.

All B-25 documentation and ordinance documents are in English.

There are 20 8" x 10" black and white photographs and 18 photocopied documents.

This is not a well known incident and some may find the contents and official photos disturbing.

If the original documents were destroyed, this may be the only documentation of the bombing.

Pictures will be posted shortly
