Robert, I seriously disagree with you when you say that Preval's performance as a president does not have anything to do with his level of education.

There is a reason why in most modern countries leaders are expected to have a degree from a reputable university.

The reason is that from a person's performance in college other people can gage how well they are able to analyze things empirically, how well they work with others, how they lead teams to do what need to be don, how they are able to read and comprehend difficult document in order to make wise decisions from them, and their overall character.

How well a person performs in college, hence what kind of grade a person gets overall, is a great way to measure how well a person will perform as a leader.

Now, if you have any doubt all you have to look at is how a "C" grade person performs.

The best current example is Bush who was a "C" student, meaning that he really was an "F" or "D" student who got a "C" because his father was a powerful man. Now remember it is not just grades that tell you what kind of person that individual was in college.

Colleges usually have whole files on what activities the person was involved in (for example, Bush was a cheerleader--that says a lot), who were the person's friends, how did he/she behave with his/her dorm partners, how did the person get along with others on projects and field trips, was the person kind, did he take charge, etc.

I really don't know about Preval's school background because no reporter of government official did their homework on him before he became president.

Everything that I've seen so far indicates that he started these schools but did not graduate.

How long he was in each is also unclear.

There is no graduating date for him anywhere so far, but maybe he did. If someone really wants that information, all they have to do is write a letter to the schools requesting the information; admission and graduation dates are public information.

Personally, I think it's too late for all that, and as stated in one of my previous posts, I feel that Haitian people need to stop voting with their emotions and start voting on the records.

Had they done that these question would have been answered prior to Preval being elected.

Now it's a little like screaming over spilled milk.
