Hi Rubens; it really nice to see that you're still here. About my post on Greg's post: what do I always tell you about reading a post carefully before you respond.

Had you read my post carefully, taken a breath, taken a stroll or just sat with a glass of wine or with some music for a minute before responding, you might have realized that nowhere in my post do I say that I agree or disagree with what Greg said. What my post does is appreciate his efforts to come up with solutions.

What my post mostly says is that there have already been many great ideas posted on this blog. We are not short of great ideas in our little blog community; what we are missing is how to get anything done with the government that's now in power.

You and many other bloggers who I have posted with for the past two years were very much on my mind when I thought of some of the great ideas that have been discussed on this blog. So, inhale and release Rubens.

Greg had some good points.

Yes, he also had some that were not so good. However, since he sounds like a young person, whose aspirations will not be able to come through for a while, he will have time to grow. His miscalculations are no immediate threat to Haiti, and therefore his efforts to come up with solutions should be encouraged.

Haven't you been telling people for the past two years to stop criticizing and try and come up with solutions?

So, why would you not encourage a young thinker.

I did not correct his errors because I knew that you or some of the other more mature bloggers on this site would.

Guys like you, RPT, Grogrin, Soufnantiou, Gros-morne Gonaives, Djakut, and other great bloggers whose name I cannot now recall, have always been really good at helping younger bloggers to see how their ideas might lead down the wrong path. I would probably have jumped in if it had been one of you making mistakes, as I know that perhaps any of you could be the next Haitian president or be the next person in a power position that might affect my country.

I would also probably jump in I noticed that you were leading a youngster down the wrong path e.g. telling them that what is going on in Haiti can't be helped.

But even that I might not have done, as I know that--at least for now--ideas good or bad are going nowhere when it comes to Haiti.

Anyway, all this to tell you once again to take your time and read (or listen) carefully to what someone is saying before you respond.

Nice chatting with you again old blogger friend and adversary.
