Haiti : collective suicide?

< Previous | Home | Next >

If anyone needs any proof of what kind of morons are "leading" this country, consider this. Our bright senators and deputies, instead of concentrating on the fundamental problems facing this country (insecurity, job creation, environment, electricity, decentralization and so on) are now attacking anyone who dares to hold a foreign passport.

Yesterday, it was Senator Boulos, today, it is a minister.

If Mr. Boulos was born in the US by Haitian parents, he can claim a US passport, but he can also claim an haitian passport because of his parents. When will all this nonsense stop?

I read, not too long ago, that any time you have a moronic leader with no plan whatsoever to improve the situation of a country, he or she creates a conflict to distract the citizens.

Remember George Bush and the Iraq war. That man is being considered now as one of the worst president ever in the history of the United States.

Without that war, he would have accomplished absolutely nothing in his eight years in office.

It seems that in Haiti, our senators and deputies, and even the government, have no idea what to do to get the country out of this mess. Instead of trying to come up with solutions for our problems, they are attacking the very people who sustain this country. The diaspora who contributes more than 2 billion dollars to the moribund haitian economy is not only being denied the opportunity to participate in the life of the country but is also targeted with robbery and assassination.

Talking about biting the hands that feed you!
What a shame!!!
