how to become a winner:

< Previous | Home | Next >

Being a winner is an attitude, a way of life, a self-concept.

It's a heads-up, full-speed-ahead way of living and being.

Winners are usually driven by desire.

Desire is where you are and where you want to be. Positive self-motivation for instance is the inner drive that puts optimism into action for winning in life. Winners in life respond positively to pressures in life. They concentrate on the desired results rather than the possible problems.

Winners dwell on the rewards of success and not the possibilities of failure.

Winners know that they do become what they think about of the most. Winners see rainbows while losers see thunderstorms.

Losers complain while winners train and gain. Losers take chances, while winners make choices.

Losers are aggressive; Winners are assertive.

Losers react negatively; Winners respond effectively.

Losers seek attention; Winners earn respect.

Losers fix the blame; Winners fix what caused the problem.

Losers live in the past; Winners learn from the past and enjoy working in the present toward the future.

Losers make promises they often break; Winners make commitments they always keep. Winners see risk as opportunity; Winners see the rewards of success in advance.

Fear usually has a destructive side effect.

Fear of poverty can be replaced by desire for affluence.

Fear of sickness can be replaced with desire for good health.

Fear of failure can be replaced by desire for winning.

Aristotle observed, "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit."
Socrates said "He who would change the world, must first change himself.".
