Bourgois are incapable of reviving Haiti's Economy

Hello Rubens: Haitians reside in many countries all over this world.

Many countries have different tax laws and or do not collect taxes on the interest payments of savings accounts.

My intention was to give some prudent advice on how to invest their money without the heartaches that comes with a stock market crash and a failed economy.

As far as the bourgeois in Haiti are concerned, I deduced this much: no wise person is going to risk their life's savings by investing in any government programs when those in power have demonstrated by their actions that they cannot be trusted to keep their words or honor any contracts made with the business community.

That's my personal opinion based on conversations I have overheard during family and friends gatherings.

The changes have to occur at the highest level of the government of Haiti.

Boirond was most likely referring to a group of people who no longer exists in Haiti.

Those people melted into the population through inter-marriages, and many left the country in the early 60's never to return to Haiti.

Their children and grand-children are no longer Haitians.

The Lebaneses, Syrians, Jews, settled in Haiti during the last one hundred years.Very few of them have shown any interest in Haiti's economy or government, and the latter is related around their safety issues.

As far as the others bourgois are concerned: the gens de couleur and noir creole alike, many have returned to Haiti with Latina, European and Canadian wives, and their children have nothing to do with the past. Most of them are bourgois most likely because their parents have already earned their money outside of Haiti.

Have a nice day.
