Dear RPT, my problem seems to be the same as that of the college students.
As an educator, I have more self time than people who work 9-5. When I am not teaching, traveling, or dealing with my house and family, I make the time to blog. It is my way of contributing to Haiti when I am not in the country.
Although that contribution is little compared to some of the other things I do when I am in the country, I get great satisfaction out of it, particularly when I know that there are Haitian college students posting.
I don't have many of them in my classes.
Anyway, my problem is that because I am familiar with the idea of what blogging should be, instead of what it sometimes becomes on this blog (a forum for self promotion), I know that it is almost always dangerous to reveal one's real identity on any site. I would like to help and form some type of unit working for Haiti, however, I don't see how to get past the blogging ID issue.
As of now, although I really like your post which are great indicators to the type of person you probably are, I don't really know anything about you nor you me. If you can think of a way to resolve this problem without my having to reveal my personal ID on this blog, do let me know. Once I really know who you are, I will be happy to decide if I do or don't want to unite with you as a team player.
How to make this happen, I truly don't know.
