Every day four women die in the United States as a result of domestic violence, that's approximately 1,400 women a year, according to the FBI. Around the world, at least one in every three women has been beaten, and coerced into sex. (not counting the married children who are raped or coerce into sex daily in the Muslim world.) Every year 1.2 million women are forcibly raped by men. It's estimated that two to six times that many women are raped, but do not report it. In the United States, as many as 324,000 women each year experience intimate partner violence during their pregnancy.
