what are you talking about?

my mentioning of mr yves volel was not intended to embelish his character, but rather to suggest that what happened to him would have more than likely happened to mr preval; that the former was invited to come to the police headquarters by a former classmate at the military academy, but was cunningly gunned down by a sniper from that same police station.

in haitian politics, we can consider mr volel as a redeemed man. he was everything that you have described him as during his career in the army, but he did make a substantial turn-about later in his life by actively denouncing military abuse as a pro-bono activist-lawyer for which he was killed.

by the way, on what logical basis are you accusing me of fanatism?

contrary to your baseless accusation, none of my writings suggests the slightest evidence of a fanatic mind.
i have also argued methodically by presenting my arguments as concisely as possible, something that you have always failed to do for your antagonistic rantings.

mr ajane, people are not only blinded by fanaticism, but also and equally by antagonism.

in fact, antagonism is potentially more destructive than fanatism because it is driven by a darker and sinister emotion which is excessive hatred.

your hatred of mr aristid is excessive and irrational, and unwarranted.

the man was not a saint, but if he were what you claimed him to have been, then the opposition would have been crushed, and there were many excuses from which to hide:a case in point was the establishment of a parallel presidency by the opposition under mr gerard gourges.ajane, the opposition had its own criminal elements.

not every relationship is mutual: just because A supports B does not necessarily mean that B supports A.In other words, just because a particular criminal supports mr preval does mean that preval will support that particular criminal.

you have accused me of things that defy critical thinking.

can you specify the extent of my presumed fanatism, and by what evidences is it to be recognized?

i am not being irrational here by opposing to the immediate reformation of the army.
do you understand the cost of opportunity for such a big undertaking?

from what services shall we divert funds to reform the army?

from the health crisis of aids or from the food program for starving kids in slums?

you are being irrational sir with your reactionar yearnings.

do you understand the complexity of the social problems of haiti?

let's pave the way so a better generation can assume this owesome reponsibility, that of forming an army.
let'wait for when we can have a smart intelligence agency that can identify foreign spies in the army.
we cannot form an army now, we are too corrupted and too power-hungry.

we need a sustaining economy that shall allow us to train and equip our own soldiers without having to send them to fort lenardworth in order to be indoctrinated in the monroe doctrine.

the cultural revolution has not yet occurred in order for us to raise the kind of patriotic young men that such army would require.

unless you are blind, you should be able to realize that we do not yet have the infrastructure and the collective character of patriotism to form a responsible army. the youth have to reeducated first_.you cannot put the chariots before the horse.

there are two things that you need to know: maturity and defered gratification are critical to success.

we cannot say that need because others have one.that is a reason, but the statement of an envious mind.

P.S:during the establishment of ravix and his troops in petionville, they patrolled the areas which residents paid for meals and laundry for the soldiers, but never went beyond those perimeters to help secure the poorer areas, which reinforce my contention that these soldiers had been uniformed mercenaries.

can you claim to have seen one video of haitian soldiers helping in the aftermath of a natural disaster such as a huricane?
