I appreciate your honesty and your capacity to analyze a situation.

Haiti's history is full of people who would kill because they like this or that president.

When you ask them why they like a particular president, they cannot come up with a good answer and try instead to attack you personally.

You are indeed right that the current government hasn't accomplished anything to justify any hopes being put in it. So far, all they have been doing is talk, talk, talk.
They promised to build ports, they promised to develop this ot that island off the coast of Haiti, they talk about oil refineries...

If you get my drift, this is all talk and nothing concrete.

Their project is always for the future, nothing for the present.

What should prevent this government to take $100 million dollars out of the estimated $1 billion dollars the DGI is supposed to collect and IMMEDIATELY start building a decent, modern airport on Tortuga Island and a few nice resorts in order to jumpstart our tourism?

Nothing.

That's the least of their concern.

Instead, they want the international community to spend money on this or that project so that they can keep some of it for themselves.
