Points well made Rubens, and I agree wholeheartedly that arguments should be supported.
Moving on to another subject.
I have a challenge for you. You might remember that my position has always been that: "we can keep talking, keep posting, keep generating ideas, but none of that matters if there is no leadership at the national level." I've also argued that "in all of history, there has never been a great nation built without serious national leadership." I've pointed out that "If we don't have progressive 'national' leaders, all the great plans in the world wont change Haiti," and that "if by chance a few people develop a few great programs, what will happen next will be what has always happened to Haiti; a few people will benefit while the vast majority of the population will continue to suffer." Your argument has alway been that individuals can--without the national government's participation--make changes that benefit the whole population.
Now here's my challenge to you (and any other blogger who wants to answer):
1. Describe--using valid supporting evidence--how you are going to take one of your ideas and turn them into actuality, without the help of the national government.
2. Describe how your plan will benefit the whole population--make sure that here again you show that the plan can be actualized without the government's participation.
3. Be specific.
If you can do this in a systematic and concrete manner, you will make a believer out of me.
