Hi, Linda or Djakut.
Thanks for your concerns.
I do not think we are fighting so to speak.
It's just that political discussions can get tumultuous and passionate at times especially when you have strong convictions.
There is no name calling or anything to that effect.
I realize one person alone cannot make change in a nation and there must be a compromise and an amalgam of ideas.
However, I am going to argue my point until I can no longer substantiate it. That's all.
My friends and I engage is some vivid and passionate discussions about Haiti until they convince me or I convince them. But what we all agree upon is that your point or your conviction must be substantiated with real life examples and historical facts.
Just like in math, there must a proof or at least a recursive reference.
I just don't buy any viewpoints based on assumptions or circumstantial evidence.
For instance, if you support the idea that a rich Haitian should be given the reign of Haiti, then you must provide a reference that shows a rich Haitian ruler of the past did good for Haiti or at least a rich Haitian ruler of the past attempted to do good things for Haitian people; otherwise, you are making an assumption that a rich ruler of today will be good for Haiti.
I always use a reference or an historical fact to substantiate my argument.
I do not pretend I am right on everything I say; I am not a megalomania.
However, there must be rules, a way to judge if an argument is even worth reading.
If you are just throwing an opinion out there.
Fine. Me, I am trying to put a nation on a different path.
