Trouillot is a great Haitian woman! She is internationally acclaimed for her intellect.

I wish she stayed longer in power.She should be running for president and she will win. During your interview with her (if you are lucky to get her to talk with you) please ask her to run. We a tired of these "vauriens", those men who took the presidency by force or voted by the "people" have destroyed the country..

Trouillot is Haiti's first and only female president.

she is America's third female president after María Estela ('Isabel') Martínez de Perón (Argentina), and Lydia Gueiler Tejada (Bolivia).

She is the second black female ruler in the continent after Dominica's premier Eugenia Charles.

It is a debate between who is the first female president in this world: could it be: Carmen Pereira, acting president of Guinea Bissau from May 14-16, 1984 (2 days), or Her ?.

Not too much is known about her life after she left office.

It is said she is a member of the American bar Association, and the " Association des Ecrivains de Langue Francaise"; she should by now completed her book Dictionaire Biographique d'Haiti.
