Hey Flo; Haiti actually liberated the DR from colonialism twice.

On February 9th, 1822, when Boyer arrived in Santo Domingo, his first decree was to abolish slavery which was still continuing under European colonial domination even after the DR had declare itself independence in1821.

Also, we must remember that the reason that Haitian troops went into the DR in the first place is that the DR was set to be used as a launch platform for European recolonization of Haiti.

So, the concept of who did what to whom is relative in terms of historical narrative.

I tend to think that we freed them from slavery, they hate us because they would rather have been slaves under white rule.
