Hi Max; I'm sorry but I don't have an answer for you. I am doing what I can at the individual level, but no matter what civilians do, they really cannot accomplish much without the support of a progressive government.

I've seen individual Haitians organize and reorganize, I can't remember how many meetings about Haiti I've been to since I was a kid, I've seen all sorts or groups get involved in trying to save Haiti.

None of them ever really made a national difference.

If you look at the trend in Haiti for the past 40 years we really consistently regressed.

Yes, the Haitian elite have been fundamentally selfish, yes the international community has done everything to keep us down, but as I keep saying, other countries have had the same problems and have manage to prosper.

The Haitian governments have been composed of two types of people, the greedy and the stupid, and sometimes both together which is even more lethal.

What can we do?

At the national level there's nothing we can do. At the individual level we do what we can...
