My Opinion about the Army- by G. Simon

While it's true that the Haitian army is an institution like any others in the country.

While it's true that our ancestors left us an army that is at the very foundation of our independence; neverherless, the army post-the-American occupation that Haiti had known is not the same army Haiti had before the U.S. invaded and occupied Haiti.

The Haitian army had been infiltrated by the C.I.A.; therefore it's no longer a Haitian army, it has become an army stationed in Haiti at the service of a foreign country.

Had the Haitian army been in function, Haiti would have been worst off today.

Even the remnants of the army had just demonstrated that they are up to no good by crossing the border with foreign help to assasinate innocent Haitians, causing social disorder and cahos, plotting a coup/kidnapping against the democrtically and constitutionally elected president of a country.

The Haitian army should be disbanded completely.

Preval has the right to push for the disolution of this cancer in the Haitian society.

At least Aristide has the gut (gren-n plen) to disband this army of thugs.

It will be up to the legislators to give the army the coup de grace.

If the army were to be re-created in the future, it should not be the priority nor should it be stationed in the capital.

Overthrowing president over and over again, killing thousands of innocent Haitians, etc...

this kind of practice is unacceptable.

To be fair, Preval should have a program to help the remnants of the army to find a jobs.

The hard core criminals should deal with the justice system.
