Dear president Preval:
I discovered you Blog quite by accident while I was researching Haitian cinematographers.

I am not quite up to date on Haitian affairs these days. I did quite some traveling.

I am sure that you are aware that the tourist industry is worth over a billion dollars in the Caribbean.

Why not turn the island of La Gonave into a tourist resort that will continue to provide funds for the nation regardless of what's going on inside Haiti.

The same can be done with the island of La Tortue.

Of course you would have to move most of the Haitians out to the main land and leave only those who will be working in the hospitality industry on those Islands.

You can get developers who would fund such projects.

Americans corporations will advance the funds if they see the possibility for a healthy profit.
