Hi Mckenzie, It's not that I'm so much surprised, as I am truly concerned at the rate this type of religious distortion is now being used to undermine our history.

So my question was; can anything be done about it?

And you answered it brilliantly with your Bork quote, "if you think education is expensive, try ignorance".

I was so concerned with this new cultural manipulation that I uncovered that I even thought about giving up my teaching career in the US to go train Haitian teachers in Haiti.

However, I quickly changed my mind when I realized that most Haitians (from the darkest to the lightest) don't see the danger as we who live outside clearly see it. So again, I am just doing a sort of therapy by discussing the issue on this great blog.
