The army that Aristide did away with was responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths.

That army was built and trainded by the US marines to repress and control us. I know because at 22, I still remember the guns firing and the dead on the streets.

I am not saying I dont support a public force that can protect us haitians who are actually are living on the island, but my skepticism stems from the idea that if the PNH isn't recieving enough funds and equipment to do thier jobs, then why a new force?

If the haitian police had enough funds, maybe it would not be such a failure.

The focus should be to help the haitian police restructure and reform rather than building an entire new force that may or may not fix our problems.
