Loulou
Every one of us who grew up in Haiti, in Port au prince more precisely and who has been to school and remembers despite our shortcomings the beutifulness of this coin de terre- who remembers the taciturne character de notre beaute creole et l'immense coqueterie de nos jeunes femmes a teint clair( Hey Sister Linda I did not say mulatresse) et cette joie de vivre qui existait dans nos coeurs et l'eternel espoir de grandir et devenir quelque chose dans son pays must be boiling.boiling, evaporating, dissipating and so on..

Must be boiling when closing our eyes and said Goddamn how did we get to this point?

How is it now we can not buy a ticket, call a former girlfriend and said hey I will be in Port au Prince tomorrow?

Some of us were never Duvalierists but we went along with it..

we had this security of getting in to a Tap Tap and go to fet *ST Pie Petionville ou to Bisantene* and return safe home
or the
Loulou we did not care of *Visite, *kidnape FRAP * Chime .lame Ti manchete or the rest...Si nous avions peur nous avions peur des *lougarous, des zombis et de toutes ces histoires que nos fils de paysans emmenerent avec eux dans la capitale.

half of its women from the innocent looking japanese to the divine looking Israeli passing to the god created Austrian and the savage russian, eated all kind of food from this monbin of the Israelis to the Peruvian Ceviche, the Mexican Taco, the German and the Turkish kepab, the french baguettes, the Belgian chocolates and so on but Loulou nothing, nothing has appealed more to me than ce cafe au lait de mon pays et ce plat de griot de Montrouis qui me rend nostalgique decades after having left este pedazito de tierra che si chiama Haiti
Loulou marrie a une *Lougarou allemande*, naturellement j'ecoute Brahms, Bach, Beethoven and I admire Peter Tchaikowski and I go sometimes to Mozart concert donw there in Vienna but Loulou Nothing rings a bell in my mind more than 25 years ago when I saw Freres Dejean et Ti Cazou singing: POTOPRINS, CE LA MOIN GIN FANMI, CE LA MOIN GIN ZANMI SE LA MOIN GIN FANMI OHHH
