Please clarify what you are trying to say ater the word Instead "..."

But I would like to take this opportunity to highlight that we should stop denigrating African languages with negative references (about Zulu).

So the dude learned Zulu great! I bitch and moan about him but learning an African language is definitely not a negative...

Let's stop being pretentious about Africa and African languages.

Some segment of our country have this same denigrating attitude towards our Kreyol where they will only speak to curse at someone for example.

We should focus our comments and complaints on real problems, on real issues, highlight ethical misconduct of our candidates etc...

but not denigrate ourselves or our African brothers and sisters.

just saying...
