Marge, i believe that the impetus for interference by America was deplorable conditions in Haiti to begin with, meaning, even if we never interfered, Haitians would be here, as are people from the world over. I wasn't trying to put anyone down at all, only to point out that many, if not the vast majority, would prefer to stay here once they get here, and remittances cannot alone sustain a country.
Why do you ALWAYS put a twist on it to insinuate that America is at sole fault?
I have admitted that America owes Haiti much more than what She has done for Her. But some things are not America's fault.
For example: Birth rates have long been out of control in Haiti, no?
I was watching a video on Haiti recently, and they interviewed a woman who had ELEVEN children and lived in a one room house.
What can Haiti do about that?
Does it make sense to have 11 kids when you have no job?
It doesn't make any sense to me. I have ONE daughter, and I make a comfortable living, and if I had another, it would only take away from what I can do for my one daughter.
That's the way I see it.
