I agree with you Zac at 100%, Haiti does not need the United States to develop its economy.

Haiti has to make a choice between staying a dependent state or acting as an independent state in designing its own economic development.

Haitian masses should be at work for the Haitian people and not for any other international elites.

We need to step up against any neocolonialism.

I admire Bill Clinton a lot, but one day I was pissed off when he said that Haiti could produce mangos to sell to the New York population and without saying for themselves in Haiti.

We can produce mangos and create mango juices for Haitian people in Haiti and other Haitians in the diaspora, this will work. If he is in Haiti to defend only the U.S. interests that will not work. Haiti can borrow money from China to develop its economy after all by investing in agriculture, internal tourism, education, roads, bridges, internet communication and housing to name a few and that put at least 3 million people at work. We can do it and we must do it. I agree with you that America needs to stop the politics of self-containment against Haiti with its Protectorate.

It is job killing and it makes Haiti more dependent to the U.S. and the international community.

Haiti has to defend itself in the world as being a member of so many organizations.

It can denounce it and they can do better by raising the bar through accountability and the rule of law...
