Sometimes we do have to make hard choices in life. When life throws you unexpected curves, it is up to you to correct them. We can't always go by rule of thumbs.

Right now, Haiti calls for very hard, objectives and mature decisions.

In a perfect world, I would wholeheartedly agree with you.At this time and phase of the game, Haiti has to do some very creative thinking and act accordingly, if we have to come out of this impasse in her history.

The international world can't provide for us all the time. We are already the laughing stock of the world, must we continue be?...Why can't we take the bull by the horns and tell the international community not worry, we got this one covered.

We affirmatively will let it go. This is a step in the right direction, a step that we can shape our own destiny.

Not that we don't need any help, oh yes, we do, but we could take take money and apply it some place else, some place that is beneficial right now to the people who are still living.

We could concentrate on making a better life for the people who are still alive.

Let me reiterate one more time, We have got to make it a lot tougher for future elected officials to steal the government money -- Perhaps both Jean Claude and Jean Bertrand could give lectures and recommendations on how not to steal the government money since they were so good at stealing it....

"Oeuil pour Oeuil, dents pour pour dents" theory is arcane and might lost its place in modern Haitian history...especially now, when we desperately in need of a non-violence approach to life, otherwise status quo still presumed.

I hope that the political exiles brings lots of money to Haiti coupled with good pertinent experiences to give back to Haiti.

I am not selling my soul but revenge is not always the answer to wrongdoings.

Civil suits could be brought against them to force them to return a good portion of their stolen money.

If we go criminal against them, they could end-up murdered by the human rights people.

If proven "guilty", they could receive a death sentence.

Remember Noriega?...Sadaam Husseim?...

Then what?

The very same people that you held so highly as the pinnacle of human dignity can kill. True Human right is to protect and preserve life, not taken it when one feel disobeyed..."Two wrongs don't make it right"
"Justice", what exactly is "Justice", would you believe the explanation that justice exists only in the minds of the powerless.

It is a vague concept to get you through life when others took advantage of you. i.e., you slap me and slap you back. Is it justice?

no, just revenge...

How come our "Justice" never came after we proclaimed our independence?

After our ancesters sweat their bloods, shortened their lives to make St. Domingue prosper.

How come we never benefited from the harvest?

"Justice" hein...?

To add insults to injury, we had to pay them back for a made-up indemnity for our freedom, "Justice", hein?

We are still paying the price today in the form of embargoes, unfair trading policies, insulting charity money with a high price tag....

(our dignity).

.and let us not forget international military presence to kick our derriere, if we don't behave as intended. The list goes on and on. I mentioned those because most of us are familiar with them.Haaaaaah, it is all in the name of "justice" and human rights...Think about it. Whose rights?

and Whose "Justice".

Don't you think it is time that we do our own "justice" as we see fit. It is time that we decided how will we protect our owns in good governance with our country, meaning that we have to carefully choose how we will change the course of this decade, not where this decade is going to take us. We have got to make conscious choices pertaining to what or who is affecting the betterment of Haiti.

HAITI is the key word, now. not our ancestors, not our parents, not even ourselves.

HAITI, HAITI, HAITI is what counts in the end.
