Harvey, These bloggers are understandably trying to protect their people of further unnecessary harm.
It is a good step in wanting to test-drive your product.

Universities are a good stepping stones.

I would also suggest appropriate engineer associations because they are in the every-day-working world with real issues...

Overall, I think your ideas could be useful for some of our housing crisis.

But questions are:
recycling plastic in Haiti will eventually end in a shortage since we do not manufacture plastic ourselves.

Will we have to import recycled plastic, when the need arises?

The wire mesh that supports the block, obviously will be imported, and will definitely add to the cost of construction.

How much more would it be?

I do understand that we can't put a price on human safety but it is good business to evaluate cost effectiveness.

When you feel ready to present your idea in Haiti.

You may want to contact:
Gary Edson
Chief Executive Officer
Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund at
clintonbushhaitifund.org/rebuilding-id...
They are waiting to hear from people like you have ideas or projects to share with Haiti.

I would suggest that you also send them a list of projects completed with names, phone numbers and addresses.

Good luck.
