Anonymous,

Have you noticed while I agree with you on some points, but you never acknowledged any of what I have to say?

It seems as if I make no sense about anything all. And this is the problem with us Haitians.

Anyway, if you'd go through all of my messages on this blog, you would find that 98% of them have been criticism about the absence of leadership, the incompetence and mediocrity of the Haitian government.

Of course there are competent Haitians.

Our competence and "know-how" apply only when working for "Blancs" and big foreign corporations because we have to be proficient if we want to keep our jobs. However, our incompetence and mediocrity become pretty abvious when it comes to aply our knowledge, skills and experiences to build and create things in Haiti in order to move Haiti to prosperity.

Anonymous, everybody knows a person does not have to be president to contribute and help his/her country.

Personally, I have been involved in helping my hometown, which is up north, with basic health, education and economic development since 1995, and I am not president nor that I hold any post, not even being a "chef seksyon".

Nevertheless, who should and should not be president in Haiti must not be your determination but rather the people's decision at the voting booth.

The constitution must not restrict the opportunity of any citizens to become president or to hold any public office in Haiti

Anonymous, I commend you for not having the ambition fo the presidency or the prime minister, but other Haitians should not have their ambition mocked and dismissed.

People, who feel that is the only way they want to help their country, should have their rights respected.

You would like to have the presidency in Haiti to be an unpaid position?

You have got to be kidding me! let's do some rational thinking here, first of all, it would not make any sense, and secondly that will be a big invitation or enabler for more corruption and stealing.

I don't know of anywhere in the world where there is an unpaid president.

Anonymous, I am, too, a well educated man, but does that means I can be a great leader, competent.

People who know me think so. But do I have political ambitions?

No! I don't.

Please don't get me wrong, I am a big supporter of education, but do you really believe education level and all the criteria you mentioned on you long list is what will make someone competent to be president?

If you look around you you'd find many great leaders, many progressive leaders with very little education.

There are many millionaires and billionaires around the world with very little education.

Even the Haitian history tells us most of the progressive and great leaders had very little to no education.

Being a rocket scientis, a brain surgeon, or the most famous scholar doesn't necessary mean this person will make "great leader, competent, wise, with the know-how. Do you think Albert Eistein would make a great competent, wise leader?

A president is as competent and a good leader as his/her advisors make them to be. Furthermore, regardless of the intelligence of a president, his/her government will not be succeful if governing without the people.

The United States, is that successful because the government governs with the people's participation.

The government finds out what the people are saying, what the people want and implement those ideas.

The Haitian government does not communicate with the Haitian people.

Last but not least, understand that government is not an entreprise, a business, or a corporation, and therefore, must not run as such. This is where many people keep making the big mistake.

Government is an "Institution" that has for function to "Protect and to Serve" its people.

And a government that understands that simple fundamental concept is more likely to be sucessful.
