What's up with the beach front properties in Haiti?

In most countries around the world the private investors open great hotels by the beach to attract tourists and make millions.

But in Haiti the beach fronts look like damps.

I love Haiti and I'm tired to see it like this. That's why I hope to seat down with the Mayors of many cities in Haiti to discuss how we can get the people of each city, small and major city alike, to get involve and clean up their city and open up business that will help not only the people but also the country as well. So, by saying this I certainly hope that the 2010 elections are well organized for the sake of Haiti's future.

In one hand understand that the country has a tendency to repeat history, but on the other hand I also understand that the Haitian people are learning and are making progress to put Haiti back on track.
