My friend you presented a very compelling argument.

Needless to say that any fair-minded person would see that the constitution was violated when the Army was dissolved by Aristide.

But at present we need to ask ourselves whether the army is the solution to the insecurity and whether or not we can afford the army on such a limited budget.

Keep in mind that an institution like the army is not responsible for providing security to civilians that is the job of a police force.

For the moment we should focus on improving the current police force by providing them with better training, and equipments and by increasing the size because they're the ones that deal with the real security issues in the country.

Our ancestors made noble sacrifices for our freedom but we haven't been the best guardians.

We should not let pride blind our judgement once and for all we need to make wise and precise decisions that will guarantee our independence and prosperity forever.
