Rudy Etienne,
Trust me when I say that I understand your concerned about Preval getting killed.
Understand also that I am NOT calling for his death either.
My post only reflects my non-caring view of his death.
I just would Not give a rat ass if he would to get killed today or any other time for that matter.
I just don't care whether he lives or dies, and that's a big difference from calling for his death.
You asked the question "What is that going to solve?" Meaning killing him!
Well my dear, I am afraid to break it to you and you're right, killing him will not solve anything, but letting him finish his term is not going to solve anything either.
The Haitian people is in a no win situation, "they damn if they do, they damn if they don't."
Second, again, I am Not calling or advocating for violence in Haiti, but we seem to be afraid to resort to violence for fear of pissing off the master (the white man).
If violence was really the reason that keeps foreign investors away from Haiti then there would never be one investor in Jamaica and ALL investors would pack and leave Chicago, Detroit, Iraq, Isreal, etc. etc...
If history would repeat itself, the Americans invaded Haiti, in 1915 because of the assassination of presient Dartigunave at the National Palace.
This time around, the assassination of Preval would probably give a reason to the French to take over the governance fo the country which, I think, would be a good thing for the country and for the country.
You know what's funny?
We, in the diaspora, have the privilege to live a life full of success and opportunities in foreign lands, and therefore, we fall in the white man propaganda to think of those Haitians back home as dumb and stupid to resort to violence to get the governemtn to listen to them and come to their aid. But we have no idea the hellish life they are living in and unduring 24/7 and 365 days. We think we do, but we don't.
Remember the Haitian proverb that says "Ti roch nan dlo pa kon-n sa roch nan soley ap pase."
We all in the diaspora must ask ourselves the questions, how many days has it been since we ate?
How many of our children unable to go to school because we cannot afford it?
How long it's been since we became unemployed?
Etc. etc...
I am not supporting them to resort to violence but I am not condemning them either.
It is what it is!
