Thank you for the info but that was not my point.

I know where the violence is, I follow the news too.

I think I understand what you're asking but the construction of the sentence makes it confusing some homw.

I think you meant to say that therefore, I have never heard US-State Department demanded its citizens to avoid Cite Soleil because of a gang-related violence, but rather demanded its citizens to avoid Haiti entirely because of the violence going on at Cite Soleil.

Regardless what part of Haiti there is a violence whether it is an isolated incident, the US is prompt to send a military plane to evacuate its entire Corps Diplomatic and staff out of Haiti wihtout any delay and called on its citizens NOT to go to Haiti period, until the new order.

First, you are not certain and if you were, notice that US-State Department warned its citizens to avoid "ONLY" the affected areas.
