My dear Jean:

After reading your posting, I think it affords me the apportunity to comment about present and past postings that I had the misfortune to read on this blog, While I fully realize that English is not the first language of most of the people who regularly post comments on this blog. Nevertheless, it must be noted that people usually judge one's intelligence by the way we speak or write.

Imagine if a non-Haitian stumbled onto this blog and reads the Jean de Salami posting, what pre tell would that person thinks of Haitians?

The average Haitian is fortunate enough to know two other languages that he/she could use to communicate with. Therefore, might I suggest that whoever posts a message takes the time to read (and sometime re-read) what he/she writes.

If one feels comfortable in using Kreole, please use that language.

If French is your cup of tea, by all means use that.

Jean, your composition is a mess grammatically, idiomatically, and above all, very poor spelling.

For example.

contry (country), cleanout (clean out), pincing (?) no such word, Cicid (?) the bear footed (bare footed) bear (animal) bare (bereft of clothing, footwear, etc.), bulsithing (bull s--t), yours (you are), etc.

Jean, this composition is not fit for a 3rd grader.

Please, keep in mind that unwittingly, you represent the Haitian people.
