How can we focus on a country that does not belong to us?

We are not sovereign people and America is our executive boss. We need them now and it is not the right time for troubles in Haiti, I can understand it. Puerto-Rico had the Protectorate Status with the United States starting 1798 to 1952. They ended the Protectorate Status through a Constitutional Convention and they created their own Commonwealth to clear their political status.

The Protectorate Status discourages our political and economic elites to invest in a country that they do not feel belong.

We must stop lying to ourselves and understand our political isolation in the region.

We will never free this country if we do not end the Protectorate Status.

Our Haitian Congress should call for a National Referendum to end the Protectorate and free Haiti from U.S. Executive Leadership over Haiti.

If Haiti alone cannot decide for itself, it should create its own commonwealth and associate the state of Haiti to a better commonwealth than U.S. If the United States can back up our commonwealth, we will associate our country to its country.

We should clear the political status of Haiti before asking Haitians to continue the legacy of this political mess. We must clear the mess first and stop lying to others...
