i would have gone a little bit further.
Let's take for example the people of Dominica, Saint -Lucia, Martinique or Guadeloupe.
They speak English and they speak French with the only difference that they do not speak it in the same accent as the British.
Even in the United States we could see the major transformation that has been made to The English language.
they do not speak it in like manner the British would but that does not mean they do not speak English.
Times and times over I hear people saying that the Americans do not speak the real English.
What if we take Canada for example where they speak a french totally different from that spoken in France..
What we can see is that a language develops as well as the people that speak it. And this this is this lack of evolution in the language that causes it to disappear in other word to become dead if we consider for example the Latin, the Aramean and numerous others.
The greek language also was going to disappear had they not come with the modern greek.
And today a Haitian writes French way better than a Frenchman and speaks it with more estheticity than any Frenchman of my knowledge: You do not have to be from France to speak French well you just have to add a little more passion to the study of the language and as time passes you'll finally realize that you have mastered the language.
Give the Haitian people education and they will give you the French language on the tip of their tongue.
