I am somewhat taken aback by all this energy devoted to ethnic disparity and racism in Haiti.

Frankly speaking Haiti to me is very much a homogeneous society.

(97%)?

In all fairness, the miserable 3% left can't be ALL rich merchants?

They can't all come from the upper class.

You may have had a point a century ago. What exactly happened to all the educated dark skinned Haitians?

Don't they have a duty to help the less fortunate?

They too are in business and education in Haiti and abroad.

Perhaps it makes your tasks a lot easier if the "enemy" is different than you. I am truly trying to understand your plot. You do make a lot of sense many a time but when it comes to this so-called race relations things become disproportionately lopsided.

Yes, there is a class struggle in Haiti, No, Mulattoes are not always part of the equation.

Yes, There is no way out, this time -- Change is the ONLY solution.

Haiti's business class is not use to give and take. Bargaining will be new to them and they will have to get acquainted with it. The merchant class got too much at stake.

They have got to realize that this is the end of their game. As business people, they will do what is best for them....I hope as a new breed of business owners they will do business with a social consciousness.

Other countries have tried it, why not us Haitians?
