You have brought in a wonderful idea that needs to be addressed within the Haitian diaspora in the United States and in other parts of the world.

First, we need to accept the rules of the game to build such a strong unified organization that you are calling for. With division and racism, we would not be able to do so. It is the time for all Haitians to know that they are all brothers and sisters and the superiority of one class over another one is baseless and vagueless too.

We cannot all be economically equals, but we can lift the Haitian masses up and build a stronger society where the rule of law can prevail, competition can be encouraged and democracy be flourished in Haiti.

I was born into poverty and I studied hard all my life to turn poverty away from me and that is why I believe if Haitian people are given the opportunity to educate themselves they would and could do better as well.

Next, Haiti should be a prosperous land for all and not for a small group.

Good Creole mulattoes do not accept the harsh economic treatments that this small elite in transit are given to the Haitian masses and they all believe that Haitians deserve better than that. For instance, if we did not border the Dominican Republic mulattoes in Haiti would disappear, for they do not want to mingle with dark skin Haitians to preserve their blood line. If I did not have mulatto friends I would not understand these ethnic differences.

We are two different ethnic groups inside a country that our ancestors on both blood lines had fought hard for all to be one ethnic group such as Haitians.

Finally, when we all believe that we are one Haitian group, Haiti will become again the land of the braves and the pearl of Antilles.

Racism, divisions and mental slavery should disappear among us for such a unified organization to occur within our Haitian diaspora community.

We should lead the Haitian society in Haiti in the days ahead, but we should better it too...
