Mr. President,

Looking at the comments on this blog, I can't help but greatly sympathize with you. It's an old record that keeps playing itself over and over and over again with absolutely no end in sight.

I will be contacting you through other channels in order to see how we in the diaspora can help make a dent in turning things around for Haiti.

I've stayed out on the sidelines for too long--having lived for 43 years in the United States--and believe it's now time to take that first step on that long, long journey.

As Confucius states and I paraphrase, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

I look forward to talking with you soon. In the interim, please advise me via skype the best way we can establish some lines of communication.
