Pierre Lherisson, I don't know in what century you're living in your head. But you are definitely stuck in the Stone Age.
What you said is possible, but it may work the other way as well: what if the countries that take in new comers saw them all as potential fifth columns, planted cells, etc?
They did not do that, did they?
Instead, they put measures in place that guarantee safety (for example, foreign-born US nationals can NOT be President, etc).
Guess what, Mr. Lherisson?
Our adopted lands took a big gamble and won: our collective contribution made them richer, stronger, more powerful than the hellholes we left behind because of retards like you.
You and your ilk did not make me Haitian, I was born so. It's my birth right.
YOU and your kind have contributed very little to nothing to the person I am today.
Without help from foreigners, I would probably have fallen victim to the misery of hunger and diseases long ago. I am one of the few lucky one: I got away from you and your death grip, and for that YOU ARE JEALOUS!
My attachment is purely sentimental.
In reality, I do NOT need Haiti.
Haiti needs me: I and other ex-pats have kept Haiti alive for decades to the tune of a full third of its GDP. But I am tired of being just and only your cash cows. The decisions "true patriots" like you have made are frankly, well, stupid and embarrassing.
I want the right to take over and show you how a country is supposed to be run, because I and like-minded ex-pats have lived in decent countries.
We know how it is done. YOU DON'T. You know what else: I am going to get that right, and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it.
