Dear Mr. Sergeant:
Like Mr. Zac said it "in due time" Haiti will re-address the issue of Dual Citizenship.
Despite what some may want to believe, my country has its own law and a Constitution that I swear to the Great Haitian People to abide by and to enforce.
And we will.
Until the issue of "Dual Citizenship" is re-address (again) properly by my people and the Haitian Congress, you and all our foreign friends and all Haitians who "swear allegiance" to a foreign country must respect our present law and Constitution.
And, I am the President to see to it that our Law is respected.
Would you expect me - as the President of the Great People of Haiti - to encourage anyone to break the Haitian Law and the Constitution?
So, until "due time" comes "No Dual Citizenship".
That does not mean that we do not love our foreign friends who wish to become Haitian.
It is in fact an honor to welcome you among our Citizens.
We currently have provisions for it in our Constitution: there a LAWFUL HAITIAN NATURALIZATION process that foreign friends will have to go trough.
But, sorry no Dual Citizenship.
Not me, but the lawful law of the land.
May I tell you that it is unfortunate that a few United States Citizens came to my country recently to break our law by kidnapping our children.
I mentioned that only to warn everyone not to think that we will not enforce our law.
MY COUNTRY IS A LAWFUL NATION.
Dear Sergeant, I hope I do not offend you. If so, I do not mean too.
Please note that a foreign citizen do not have to be naturalized "to come home and contribute to the success of our [GREAT] nation".
Dear Sergeant, I personally invite you and other interested party to please visit haiti.org/ to find one of the many embassies of my country.
They will explain to you the prescriptions of our law if you are interested to be adopted by the Haitians.
We are looking forward to welcome you if you are qualified for Lawful Haitian Naturalization.
"Haïti ne périra pas, Haïti ne doit pas périr."
