Hi Tiba, hi everyone.

I see that you and ohers in this forum talk a lot about ignorance, racism, african roots, etc. etc., but to begin addressing the mistakes of other people first you have to see your own.

For example:
1.- Your constitution does not permit any foreigner to buy land in Haiti (correct me if i am wrong).

2.- In your constitution still reads "the island is one and indivisible", that point rejects our presence in this side.
3.- You used to have ( i don't know if it still is like it) 32 different levels o citizens because of the color of the skin.
4.- If you do your research the problem of our history is that when the Haitian army invaded this side, they began to destroy anything that was related to spain, even the "blasons" of the houses.

We are the only spanish speaking country in latin america which have the french legal code as the base of our laws. (Sounds like ethnic cleansing isn't it?)
5.- Is true we have some racism, but carefull Cuba, and Pto. Rico. are the worst of the Caribbean in that matter.

6.- We do not believe we are white, i don't know how many years you have lived in the Dominican Republic, but that is really a lie, almost everyone has a rainbow here in there family.

7.- We have a lot of ignorant people that is true, but generalization is bad and an indication of ignorance.

8.- If you are so interested in us accepting you easier, why spanish is not the 2nd language in schools, here we get french and english in our schools (at least the goo ones).

If I go to the United States, and begin talking spanish, immediatly everyone around will differentiate me because of the language, so to fit in i have to begin to speak english, when you go to another country you have to behave like the people of the place.

When you talk of Dominicans and Trujillo that is like thin ice, a lot of people here suffered with that Dictator, and he did not brainwashed anyone here with been white, he was ashamed of his dark skin and his haitian part of the family, but he is not the role model for Dominicans, please read our history there you will find that the relation of our countries goes well beyond Trujillo.

Must of us in Dominican Republic have a rainbow family (all colors), so been racist by the color is not our real problem.

Then you will say that we enslave your people, but let me ask you if you are a complete ignorant, you do not have even an ID of your own country (illegal allien), you do not speak the language of the country, etc, etc. Do you think in any country of the world they are going to treat you fairly?

Like i said to other one here in this forums, please wake up guys, you have to do too many things to your country and your people first, and then you go criticizing and calling names and saying all that you feel like to other countries.

By the way don't talk too much about trujillo, that means you are in the past like you said before.

Thanks, lets hope for the best for both our countries.

Note: I am black and Dominican and i do not need to be white
