President Preval

As we all know looking past the current crisis in Haiti there is the major issue of rebuilding.

One of the reasons so many buildings fell apart is that too much sand was used in mixing the concrete to make it go further and this was understandable as it is expensive and Haiti is a poor country.

The next problem adding to the destruction was not enough metal rebars were used to reinforce the concrete.

My deceased father was a football star for GA. Tech (an engineering school) and later a professor there for many years and I have sent some officials their suggestion they appeal to President Obama for funding to be help in the rebuilding process and to use these students and their instructors as it will give them practial experience.

I hope you approve and that they would be welcomed by people of Haiti to help rebuild to better standards and structures that could withstand future earthquakes.

You can't get a better engineer than a GA. Tech engineer and they are a lot closer to Haiti to work with you and the government than other schools like MIT in Boston, etc. Since U.S. once occupied Haiti they are aware of that issue and I think they would like to make amends for their conduct in the past and, in light of the destruction and death, there is a legitimate desire to help. My recommendation to you and people of Haiti is take advantage of the situation and take them for all they are worth as Haiti deserves it! Have a good day Mr. President and pin a metal on the tall cop I saw other day kick a looter in the ass with his boot & give him a raise too!
