Jay you seem like a pretty reasonable guy and as I said before I tend to agree with a lot of your comments.
Mulattoes are not entirely to blame for the problems Haiti faces.
I've read quite a few posts on here where people want to blame them for Haiti's failures.
I think the truth is those who blame them do so because they are jealous and intimidated.
On this site they can hide behind the mass of anonymity but when in the presence of someone with a lighter skin they cower under intimidation and self-inferiority.
Now we have to admit that mulattoes have been part of the problem but we cannot lay all the blame squarely on them. Like you I believe the Haitian diaspora can form a coalition to help develop Haiti.
But who has been the most vocal when it comes to opposing Haitian Americans, i.e. the Haitian diaspora in participating in politics in Haiti, it's been no other than dark skin Haitians who control the political landscape in Haiti.
They know they're incompetent, uneducated and they are afraid of the diaspora.
It's true the Haitian elite controls the economy and they scheme and plot to stay in control but a coalition of the Haitian diaspora can dismantle the monopoly that the Haitian elite has over the Haitian economy.
All Haitians are to blame for Haiti's failures but some people wants to come here and seed racial hatred because of personal grievances they've had in the past with mulattoes and that kind of attitude will not get us anywhere.
