Ajm:

As someone who follows Haitian affairs religiously, I know that Haiti is able to survive on its own. But in order for this to happen, foreign interventionists need to stop organizing coups against democratically elected presidents of Haiti.

In order to preserve democracy, these people need to respect the will of the people, and accept the fact that 92% of Haitian 2000 supported Jean Bertrand Aristide.

Then were have the IMF and World Bank that pushes poorer countries to buy food from the US, including products like rice and sugar which Haiti had tons of. Now Haiti is having to import its food, and people can't eat.

I've lost some of my people in this quake, and I'm saddened by the way the country has been damaged, but I agree with you.I truly believe that in order to preserve Haiti's independence, the rebuilding of the country needs to be left in the hands of Haiti, which can be done. I also agree that this is an opportunity to start from scatch and build Hait's infrastructure and create jobs so that Haitians don't have to escape their countries to do slave work and be humiliated.
