I think this catastrophy should be used as an opportunity for Haitians to become Haitians once again and start fresh.

What do I mean by that?

There should be a Haitian summit somewhere and very soon where ALL Haitians would regain their Haitian citizenship status so they can participate fully and complitely in the internal affairs of their country, and in the Haitian politics without any preconditions whatsoever.

Perhaps the current constitution should be scrapped off, get rid of, and write a constitution that really reflects Haiti, the Haitian people, the culture, and Haitian values and principles.

There should halt the election that was scheduled in 3 months and instead have a general election in 2011 with the participation of ALL Haitians, Haitian citizens and Haitians who are naturalized as well.

I suggest that there are governors elected to run the 9 departments and ALL judges must be elected in order to have an impartial and an independent judicial system.

This must be a "FRESH START" for Haiti.

Let's get rid of the old backward system that has been choking Haiti for so long to build a new and a more modern and progressive system that will stand out for a change.

This is our chance, our moment to do it right this time, people.
