The sad reality is that Stanley Lucas cannot be president of Haiti.

The corrupt Haitian elite hates him because he is talking about having them actually pay taxes and end the monopolies.

The UN employees can't stand him, he is asking for the exit strategy for MINUSTAH while they want to stay for 20 years and keep their fat salaries.

If he was elected, the lobbyists would see the end of their monthly 50k stipends from the corrupt Preval Administration and from Aristide.

Stanley cannot be president because the well-connected corporate profiteers and economic hitmen would have to respect the rules and pay their fair share of taxes to the poorest country of the hemisphere.

How can anyone overcome that?

No. We are in for more of the same unless we stand up and demand better.
